Success of Localization in Defense is Being Transferred to SAHA

The SAHA EXPO will showcase the newly localized network switching device designed to ensure the rapid, secure, and uninterrupted operation of various communication systems used in military operations.

Organized by SAHA İstanbul, the largest industrial cluster in Turkey and Europe, under the auspices of the Presidency, and with support from six ministries and the Presidency of Defense Industries, the SAHA EXPO International Defense, Aviation, and Space Industry Fair will take place from October 22-26 at the Istanbul Fair Center, in collaboration with Anadolu Agency.

This fair will feature solutions localized by SME-level subcontractors and suppliers, alongside major contractors and integrators.

Barko Elektronik, which has been active since 2011 in electronic design and manufacturing, serves as an approved subcontractor for sector leaders like Roketsan and ASELSAN in the defense industry.

Continuously investing in R&D for local solutions, Barko Elektronik will present a range of new products developed during these efforts at SAHA EXPO 2024.

Among the innovative products to be showcased is the SAGAY Multi Protocol Smart Switch (MPSS), designed as a communication unit for military systems.

The high-security SAGAY MPSS ensures the efficient operation of various network systems critical for military operations.

Being previously reliant on imports, the company initiated localization efforts for SAGAY MPSS to address issues such as high costs, extended delivery times, and confidential embargoes.

The development process for the SAGAY MPSS, including software and hardware design and testing, spanned two years.

Ready for Series Production on Various Platforms

Designed for use in land, sea, and air defense systems, the SAGAY MPSS meets a significant sector demand by differentiating itself from other products using non-integrated structures.

Its ability to support different communication protocols facilitates communication across various platforms or units, highlighting its main benefits.

With a modular structure and configurable interfaces, it can be produced using national software developed by Barko Elektronik or client-provided software.

Supporting various communication protocols, the SAGAY MPSS integrates seamlessly with military air, land, sea vehicles, weapon systems, radars, and communication networks, enabling continuous data communication.

With high-security standards and operational capability in challenging environmental conditions, the SAGAY MPSS can be tailored to users' specific needs thanks to its modular design.
