New Maritime Hunter Drone Unveiled at SAHA EXPO
Ankara

The SAHA EXPO International Defense, Aviation and Space Industry Fair, organized by SAHA İstanbul, Turkey's largest industrial cluster, will be held from October 22-26 in Istanbul. This event is under the auspices of the Presidency, supported by six ministries and the Presidency of Defense Industries, and is in partnership with Anadolu Agency (AA) as the global communication partner.

Solid Aero, established by a team with a history of various drone projects, will showcase specially designed unmanned aerial vehicle systems and solutions for military and tactical applications at the fair.

Solid Aero will present TALAY, claiming to be "the world's first low-altitude multi-role drone," for the first time at SAHA EXPO.

TALAY is designed to meet the operational needs at sea with a wingspan of 2.60 meters and a fuselage length of 2 meters. It will serve as a high-performance platform in defense, attack, and deterrence missions.

TALAY can disable enemy ships and coastal bases and is capable of rapid response missions over water.

With the ability to fly just 30 centimeters above water and reach altitudes of up to 150 meters, TALAY is expected to introduce a new dimension to maritime operations and garner significant interest in the global market. Its operational cruising altitude ranges from 3 to 5 meters.

Thanks to its low-altitude flight capability, TALAY has a very low radar detectability and can exceed speeds of 200 km/h, outpacing all targeted maritime platforms. It can remain airborne for up to 3 hours and can also perform low-altitude flights over land.

With a high payload capacity, TALAY can be utilized for various missions, enhancing operational flexibility by carrying up to 30 kilograms, which is half its weight.

The system and flight tests for TALAY are ongoing, with the development of its electric model expected to be completed in three months.

The TALAY project, with a high local content rate, will begin working with TEI on a marine patrol model featuring a 7-meter wingspan by the end of the year.
